Goin' Back to Vegas
Nov 1-4
We had a few days back in Vegas
and got to spend some more time with these wonderful peeps!
Hooray!
They're saguaros.
But you probably already guessed that. 😉
See the saguaro skeletons behind them?

Bethany took us to the Ethel M Chocolate Factory and desert botanical garden.
It was Daniel's birthday, so I tried not to take too many pictures... as my gift to him. ;)
Lots of different kinds of prickly-pear-like cacti, though, huh?
Prickly pear
Cow's tongue
Rabbit ears
Purple pancake!
...and look at these!
We discovered that Joshua Trees are a kind of yucca.
These aren't Joshua Trees. But they are yucca.
And they look a lot like Joshua Trees, don't they?

Fairy dusters and a butterfly
I'm pretty sure the kids were far more interested in this lizard's tail
than in any of the desert plants... ;)
We did get to see a little chocolate-making in action.
In my humble opinion, these babies are much more beautiful than jelly beans!
What an honor to get to celebrate Daniel's birthday with him.
Dario took the boys on an amazing birthday adventure, for which Jadan was very, very grateful.
...and which he talked about nonstop for days! ;)
Maybe he'll write more about that on his blog...
Thanks again for being amazing hosts, Moreno family!
We miss you!
